Jorge Arturo Acevedo Alarid is a renowned Mexican entrepreneur and investor, specializing in the development of projects that drive both economic growth and social impact. As President and CEO of JAGroup and JAGroup USA—a consortium of companies spanning manufacturing, consulting, construction, investment funds, and international trade—he has led transformative initiatives across Mexico, Canada, Colombia, El Salvador, and Argentina.
Dr. Acevedo is the creator of the Holistic Vision Model® (Hvm®) and the Holistic Infrastructure Model® (Him®), proprietary frameworks that have redefined strategic planning and infrastructure development through their focus on sustainability, competitiveness, and economic integration. These methodologies create synergies between the private sector and government at all levels, promoting long-term strategies that enhance logistics, investment attraction, infrastructure, public spaces, and human well-being.
Previously, as the Founding Director General of Guanajuato Inland Port (GPI)—Latin America’s first inland port—he oversaw its design, construction, and commercialization, attracting over 80 companies, creating 21,000 jobs, and securing $3.6 billion USD in direct investment during his tenure.
Dr. Acevedo has also advised major institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean), and CentrePort Canada Inc. His work includes strategic advisory roles for government bodies in Mexico and Latin America, developing logistics hubs, industrial parks, and institutional transformation projects.
Today, he continues to expand his impact as a strategic advisor to the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) for Latin America, contributing his vision and leadership to initiatives that foster regional economic development on a global scale.
