Maria Martinez is a seasoned professional in public relations, specialized translation, and international event coordination, with a diverse background in government, education, and nonprofit sectors. At BARAKAX, she serves as the Institutional liaison with the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), facilitating connections between the global trade network and the company’s strategic expansion initiatives across North America.
With a background as an advanced English professor at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, Maria has built a multidisciplinary career that blends language expertise, logistics, and institutional management. She has served as a translator and coordination assistant in several major international forums, including the International Colloquium for Human Dignity and the event “Regional Competitiveness: The Challenge of the 21st Century”, organized by the Government of Tamaulipas.
Appointed by the Governor as Municipal Liaison Coordinator at the State Institute for Women, Maria led gender equity programs and training on women’s rights, domestic violence prevention, and self-esteem in municipalities across the state, maintaining ongoing communication with local Women’s Institutes to ensure the successful implementation of state-approved initiatives.
She also worked at the State Water Commission, heading communications and public relations and representing Tamaulipas at the Fourth World Water Forum in Mexico City. There, she coordinated the design, operation, and staffing of the state’s pavilion, while also providing English–Spanish interpretation for international delegates.
In the financial-administrative field, Maria served as a Financial and Accounting Analyst in her city government, where she handled bank reconciliations, journal entries, public account integration, invoice validation, and regulatory compliance in accordance with the State Audit Office.
Currently, she also leads Fundación Ninji, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting family well-being and community development through collaboration with local governments and civil society organizations.
Maria’s commitment to public service, fluency in English, and ability to coordinate multicultural teams make her a key strategic asset at BARAKAX, reinforcing its institutional presence and enabling global partnerships with a social and business-driven focus.
